Grissom has proven to us in a very short amount of time that he is very close to our ideal German Wirehaired Pointer. He finished his Championship in five shows with all 4 majors at the age of 8 months old! Grissom has a beautiful headpiece and very soulful expression. He has an ideal coat, one that has beautiful dark liver pigment and is thick and coarse. His movement is near flawless with great reach and powerful drive. He is built with correct angulations, a rear to die for, and good layback of the shoulder. The best part about him is his personality! His tail is ALWAYS wagging and he is thrilled to meet new people. So much in fact we have already had to buy a better grooming arm so he can't bend it trying to "greet" strangers at the shows. He is very birdy and has demonstrated great field potential. Grissom has been doing water retrieves since 10 weeks old and has to be dragged out of the water when it is time to go. Gris will be starting his JH this season and will begin to show selectively as our new special as he matures.
